thursday, 10th April 2025, 6:30-8:30pm

Join us in The Fenwick’s gallery space for an evening with curator Kristia Moises and artist Rhonda Dee. Discover Rhonda’s mesmerising works and hear the stories and inspirations that bring her art to life.

Located upstairs, The Gallery showcases an artist each season, providing a dedicated space to immerse yourself in their work.

Rhonda Dee’s work explores themes of transformation, hybridity, and psychology. Drawing on folktales, migrant narratives, and sci-fi influences, she reimagines the interconnected journey of humans, animals, and plants as a fluid, non-linear transformation. Through layered acrylic compositions on archival polymer film, Rhonda’s art evokes the fluidity of identity, with figures that emerge and dissolve like living maps.

A Sydney-based artist originally from the Texas-Mexico borderlands, Rhonda’s work has been exhibited at Manly Art Gallery, Cementa22, and other renowned venues. Her art has been featured in Artist Profile, Art Spiel NY, and more, with pieces held in prominent collections worldwide. Beyond her exhibitions, Rhonda inspires creativity as a specialist working with universities, businesses, and underserved communities.
